Blue Coat could argue that they are a leader in both Web Security and WAN Optimization. In the most recent Gartner Magic Quadrant for WAN Optimization Controllers (January 2012), there was good news and bad news for Blue Coat. The good they were one of three companies in the Leaders Quadrant, with Riverbed and Silver Peak Systems. The bad Riverbed Technology was far above them in both Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. In a test by Broadband Systems(Blue Coat designed) Blue Coat outperformed Riverbed on a number of fronts. This hasn’t prevented Riverbed from dissing Blue Coat at trade events, however.

With the introduction of Google+, they are stating they will offer unlimited photo hosting with images up to 2048 pixels. Could be something enhanced from the current Picasa Web Albums. I haven’t used Google+ I don’t know for sure. They also stated you’d get 15 minutes of video for free. I don’t know how good the quality is, but I hope it is better than Facebook’s Video Upload.
